Furnace & AC Cleaning Amherstburg, ON
For furnace and air-conditioning cleaning in Amherstburg, identify the equipment and components included before comparing proposals. Photograph the furnace or air handler label, blower access, and any visible coil area; note known fuel or equipment changes if available. Ask whether the work includes the blower assembly, evaporator coil, and accessible heat-exchanger face, and how components will be protected during access and cleaning. Equipment design, condition, and service clearances change the scope, so observations are more useful than assumptions about a system's age.
Which furnace and AC components need attention?
Photograph the equipment label and accessible component areas. Ask which parts are included, how access will be provided, and how delicate components will be protected. The model, condition, and layout can change both the method and the scope.
Ask About the Blower Assembly
If the blower wheel is accessible, ask whether cleaning means removing it or cleaning it in place, and how balance and reinstallation will be checked. Photograph visible buildup without reaching into moving parts. Wheel design, access, and condition help determine a suitable method and whether additional service steps need discussion.
Check the Evaporator Coil Access
If the system has an evaporator coil, photograph the accessible cabinet area and ask whether the quoted work includes coil cleaning and how the fins will be protected. Coil construction, access panels, and visible condition affect the approach. A proposal should distinguish coil work from general duct cleaning so you can compare like scope.
Document Protection and Findings
Before agreeing to work around an older conversion or fragile component, ask how nearby wiring, controls, and surfaces will be protected. Request a written summary of observations, not an assumed repair diagnosis. Photographs and equipment details help you understand what was accessible and decide whether a separate qualified assessment is needed.
